Keune Haircosmetics has recently started working with L/Cs for certain countries. We were looking for a good ‘support’ partner for this and we found it in Elceco.
We are guided through the LC process from A to Z, they check everything, provide advice and all in a very fast response time. It saves us a lot of time, while still providing the certainty that all documents have been drawn up according to L/C and payment is therefore guaranteed. As with many companies that do not have a separate export/document department, the handling of Letters of Credit (and other export documents) was an additional task for the financial department.
Consequence? Always focus on sending the goods on time, LC handling and documents are a side issue, no real expertise in-house, documents always sent to the bank at the last minute, highly dependent on 1 (or a few people) within the organization, too heavy a time burden on the financial department.
It is precisely for these reasons that Skalar decided more than 18 years ago to outsource the handling of our LCs to Elceco. The handling of LCs has therefore become only a formality for our organization, as this is completely taken care of by Elceco. The biggest advantage here is that the required documents are prepared in advance (and any problems are therefore noticed at an early stage) and the documents can be presented to our bank almost immediately after delivery of the goods. As a result, not only is the quality of the documents much better, but the payment of the LCs is also on average a week or 2 earlier than before!
Elceco employees all have very thorough knowledge in the field of LCs / export documents and you are not dependent on 1 specific person for questions, but the entire team is very well informed about the current files. In addition, Elceco has excellent connections at the various banks and the relevant departments.
Skalar has been working with Elceco to full satisfaction for over 18 years, with 400+ LCs having already been handled by Elceco without any problems.
